Recreational Programs for Children and Young Adults with Multiple Disabilities

Camp Snowflake

Camp Snowflake, founded in 1970, is a similar program to Camp Sunshine, with its reliance on one-to-one attention and its adapted activities. Snowflake meets once per week, on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., from September 17, 2016 through May 8, 2017, except for holidays. Camp Snowflake serves as a recreational and social meeting place for approximately 38 campers during the school year.

Activities include arts & crafts activities, adapted games, and monthly trips to places such as the Bronx Zoo, local bowling alleys, movie theaters, Liberty Science Center, Van Saun Zoological Park, and Minor League Baseball Games.
